The European Union detailed plans to require big firms to disclose tax practices. Companies with sales of more than €750 million ($846 million) a year will have to publish how much tax they pay and in which countries, including tax havens, financial media reported.
Argentina will repay bondholders after the Latin American country defaulted on its debt in 2001. The government plans to raise $15 billion through a new bond issue with borrowing on international capital markets as well. Argentina is the world’s eighth-largest country benefiting from rich natural resources, literacy, and a growing high-tech sector.
In the U.S. Intellia Therapeutics Inc based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, signed for an initial public offering (IPO) to raise $120 million. Underwriters of the deal are Credit Suisse Group AG (CS) and Jefferies Group LLC. The medicines developer is eligible for royalties as well.
